The World Map

Note: This is the world map as determined by the cartographers of London and Europe; localized maps over the rest of the globe may be substantially different, depending on the region, as well as names of the regions and likewise.

The Political World

The political world is one much akin to the era before the change in terms of friendliness, with some clear and plain shifts in boundaries. The top world powers are the United Kingdom, the United States, India, and the Empire of Japan. The Vatican looks over much of western Europe, the eastern end and Russia remaining much in their own political worlds. Asia has been looked after by the growing leadership of a business-oriented India, and China has fallen prey to world events and has given way to a democratic Tibet and New Manchuria, which is looked after by the Empire of Japan, which is a parliamentary democracy with heavy and powerful military tendencies in the region. In a similar and less benevolent vein, continental South America has become a land run by dictators and crime, which Central America being a distinct horizontal border to the democracies of North America. Overall, the world economy is budding, with a few central economical powers besides those that are condensed into "world powers". Asia is the center of what may one day be the promotion of liberal democracy.

The Physical World

Much of the physical and geographical layout of the world has become more wild and radical in its centuries of disuse. Deserts large and small, such as the Sahara, Western Desert of Australia, and the Mojave desert have all become technical wastelands and most of those zones house very little human life. The most populated desert area in the world is the south of Arabia, western Persia a close second. The colder climates have warmed slightly, taking civilization further north and south, and to more open areas. Forests and sparse grasslands have taken over much of North America, Europe and Russia. Some tundra regions in Russia and upper Canada, have adopted a less frozen atmosphere. Jungle regions such as South Asia, the Amazon, and the Congo have all grown amazingly wild and into lightly populated Edens. The most auspicious and lively parts of the physical world are the coastlines, as the growth of new and bizarre climates and wildland regions have shifted humanity toward the fringes. Mountain regions are almost untouchable and secular, many of them only reached now by airship or a long-traveling caravan.
